It's fun to Go Blind! Yno Events are essentially blind wine tasting parties. There are two varieties; local and multi-local (see comparison table below). These tastings are presided over by registered Yno Hosts. They can be as small as 3 bottles of wine and a couple guests in your own home, to worldwide events at commercial hosting locations with literally hundreds of guests. They can vary in cost and attendance, but one thing never varies...they are always fun!!

Anyone can be a guest at a public event. Yno Hosts, on the other hand, can get invited to private online events as well as host their own. If you are a sommelier, wine master, critic, or winery, Yno Events can be an excellent promotional tool. Contact us about how to be a Yno "Professional" Host.

If you are a wine bar, winery, restaurant, retailer, or similar establishment that has event capabilities and a license to serve alcohol, you are likely qualified to be a Yno Site. Simply listing as a Yno Site gives your establishment exposure to all Yno Hosts as a venue for their events. In addition, Yno Sites are automatically registered as Yno Hosts and are free to use ynotasting.com to promote their own events. Contact us about website and assistant advertising.

Here is run down on the definitions and differences between Yno Events. Never hosted a wine tasting party before? No problem. Find out how to party Yno Style.

Local Events
Multi-local Events
Definition   A Yno wine tasting which has one Host and their guests tasting wines in one location.   A Yno wine tasting which has multiple Hosts and their guests tasting the same wines in multiple locations .
Initiation   Any registered Yno Host can initiate a local event.   Any registered Yno Host can initiate a multi-local event. The initiating Host, or Hostmaster, then invites other Hosts to participate either publically or privately.
Privacy   Local events are always considered private in that other Hosts can not participate. However, results of Yno Events are always public.   Multi-local events can either be public or private. Hosts can publically invite all other Hosts or privately invite a select group of Hosts. Public events are often put on by Brainstorm and/or its affiliates as well as by participating Yno Sites.
Registration   Local events can either be registered via ynotasting.com or directly though the Yno Assistant.   Because of their nature, multi-local events must always be registered via ynotasting.com. Hostmasters use the Ynovite system to invite other Hosts.
Avantages   Local events are simple, easy, and private. New Hosts should always put on a couple local tastings prior to attempting larger multi-local events. A great way to enjoy wine with friends.   Wine professionals and trade will find that hosting a multi-local event can be a great way to reach out to a broad audience. Wine enthusiasts can use multi-local events to take the next step and learn more about wine with each other.
